Daily commutes from one corner to another demand efficient solutions. Building a metro system offers an eco-friendly and efficient response. Yet, this influx of metro riders presents a lucrative opportunity for Advertisement Service Providers to showcase brands and products like beverages and perfumes. Traditional fixed lines for uploading and updating ads aren’t feasible, so the search for a cellular-based solution begins.
Technical Requirements:
- The router must feature a rugged industrial design for 24/7 connectivity and can meet rigorous EMC standards.
- Provides Wi-Fi access or acting as an access point (AP) for onboard equipment.
- Ensures seamless video transfer from the monitoring center to the metro with no data loss.
- Establishes a secure network for metro applications.
- Ideally 36VDC, capable of withstanding high temperatures, shocks, and vibrations.
Solution
Orxcel O10 Cellular Router is our choice for this project. It excels in connecting with onboard media equipment and facilitating smooth data transfers as per monitoring center requests. Simultaneously, it provides Wi-Fi connectivity to other onboard devices, ensuring seamless network access and organization. In ongoing discussions, Orxcel plans to integrate our router with enhanced Wi-Fi capabilities and develop a Mobile Phone Portal as part of the project’s second phase. This portal will require passenger registration to access the Wi-Fi sharing service, enhancing the metro commuting experience.
